Abstract

Dieser Sonderband der Austrian Studies in Social Anthropology bietet ausgewählte Beiträge zu den relativ neuen Forschungsrichtungen Anthropologie der Medien und Anthropologie des Films. Der Großteil der Beiträge entstammt einem Workshop zu Medien und Film im kultur- und sozialanthropologischen Kontext, der im Rahmen der “3. Tage der Kultur- und Sozialanthropologie 2007” stattfand.

English abstract

This special edition of Austrian Studies in Social Anthropology provides selected contributions to the relatively new research areas of the anthropology of media and the anthropology of film. Most of these papers were presented at a workshop on media and film in an anthropological context that was organized within the conference “3^rd Days of Social and Cultural Anthropology 2007″.

Mag. Claudia Trupp

Claudia Trupp studierte Kultur- und Sozialanthropologie/Hispanistik in Wien und Santiago de Chile und ist Dissertantin am Institut für Kultur- und Sozialanthropologie an der Universität Wien. Interessensgebiete: Lateinamerika, indigene Gruppen, Medien, Soziolinguistik, eLearning, Didaktik, Deutsch als Fremdsprache. Derzeit als Studienassistentin am Institut für KSA und als DaF-Trainerin tätig.

Claudia Trupp studied Social and Cultural Anthropology and Hispanic Studies in Vienna and Santiago de Chile and is currently a PhD candidate at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology of the University of Vienna. Topics of interest: Latin America, indigenous peoples, media, sociolinguistics, eLearning, didactics, German as a foreign language. Currently, she is working as a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology and teaches German as a foreign language.

Mag. Philipp Budka

Dissertant am Institut für Kultur- und Sozialanthropologie der Universität Wien. Er ist interessiert an Medien, Technologien, Konstruktionen von Identitäten, Konzepten von Gemeinschaft, sozialen Netzwerken, der Produktion, Distribution und Transformation von Wissen, Lernen und Lehren, ethnographischen Methoden sowie Fussballfankulturen. Philipp Budka arbeitet und forscht zur Zeit in unterschiedlichen Feldern, wie dem nordwestlichen Ontario, Kanada, diversen Internet-Umgebungen und der Universität Wien.

Philipp Budka is a PhD candidate with the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology of the University of Vienna. He is interested in media, technologies, identity construction, social networks, community concepts, production and transfer of knowledge, learning and teaching, ethnographic methods, and football culture. Philipp is currently doing work in a variety of fields such as Northwestern Ontario, Canada, several internet environments, and the University of Vienna, Austria.
